The 20th December 2019 was a heartbreaking night for the people of Bangladesh when we lost one of the greatest pioneers of all times – Sir Fazle Hasan Abed. He positively changed millions of lives in Bangladesh and all across the world.
Sir Fazle Hasan Abed was the founder of the biggest non-profit organization in Bangladesh, BRAC. In 1972 with a vision to make a change in people’s lives, he started his journey.
Even after coming from a privileged life and a promising corporate career, he decided to do something for the people who weren’t as privileged. And 45 years later, now BRAC is the changemaker, activist and the hero that we all needed.
BRAC is also a significant part of Southtech’s journey. Sir Fazle Hasan Abed supported us from day one. They were Southtehch’s first ever clients and still continues to be one. In our 23 years of journey, BRAC and Sir have been with us through everything. The mark that Southtech could leave on the industry could not have been possible if Sir Abed didn’t believe in us when we needed it the most.
His demise is heartbreaking for all of us and the entire Southetch family prays that he may rest in peace.
Thank you Sir, for all that you have done for our country. We will be forever grateful.
